South Hampshire Group Quiet Day
This year the Quiet Day was held on Friday 1st Sept at Furzey Christian Retreat House, Lyndhurst.
A lovely day was spent in Furzey Retreat House there were 10 of us and Janet our speaker. We enjoyed study time, prayer time and sessions of quiet to wander in the gardens and enjoy the tranquility of the place.
A lovely lunch was prepared for us and home made cakes for afternoon tea. I came away having had space to be with the Lord, feeling at peace and feeling valued.
I will certainly use Furzey as a venue again as it really was a lovely day.

It was good to see some familiar faces, and to meet one or two new ones.
Each year the day follows a similar format, and yet each year the day is always different. The weather was not quite so kind this year, but at least it remained dry and those who wanted to were able to visit the lovely gardens at the Court House in the next village in the afternoon.
The morning was spent introducing and updating each other, praying for each other and for those we had left at home, before reflecting on the 23 rd psalm.
We reflected on the many 'little' deaths and bereavements we have to face in life, and on the new growth, and new beginnings which often result from the losses and difficult times. We them had some quiet music before going into silence until lunch time.
As always God richly blessed us, and a day or two later we welcomed two new members to the Carers Christian Fellowship.
