Carers Christian Fellowship

Carer's Psalm

written by
Charles Christopher

It is during those times of our most difficult circumstances and trials,
when our spirits are low and our faith's serverely tested:
it is then that God often reveals the most tender,
precious things of Himself.

Through His unchanging,
eternal love, we experience that truly amazing,
all-sufficient grace.

It is then that we are lifted, encouraged and carried through, singing, and enabled futher along
the road that leads us home.

Although coming from different backgrounds each of us has in common a strong Christian faith and we look to the Lord for daily help and support.

"Lord I was awakened from my comfy bed to care but you put those sparrows outside my window with the robin to sing and cheer me and show me you care.

Lord it was hard today to clean up yet again and to do those personal tasks that are so difficult with a loved one but You were there, You reminded me about washing hot feet and caring for the sick and You kept my spirits up and my hand steady.

Lord you are always there in every waking moment to steady me, to care for me and provide for all my needs, only You can comfort and understand when no one else is there.

Thank You Lord that you are there for everyone both Carers and those that they care for and your Love for us is so immeasurably great that we can all trust you with every moment of each day."

Amen
